Corydoras Sterbai
Corydoras catfish such as Sterbai Corys are a great beginner catfish, and a staple addition to any fish keeper’s clean up crew; being a born forager that schools along the river bed in groups of hundreds in the wild, having a group of Sterbai Corys in your tank is like having an adorable team of substrate sweepers.
Locale: Bolivia, Brazil - often found in small creeks, rivers, tributaries and forest pools, in and around sand bed debris such as leaf litter, driftwood and stacked piles of rock.
Fun fact: Corydoras have a behaviour colloquially known to hobbyists as “blinking”, however your cute little catfish are not actually blinking, they’re just articulating their eye in a quick downward motion that creates the illusion of a blink!
